The Ordinary PHA 5% Exfoliating Lip Serum combines 5% gluconolactone with 1.5% alpha hydroxy acids to gently remove dry surface cells and improve the look and feel of lip texture. Because polyhydroxy acids work mainly at the surface, the formula offers mild chemical exfoliation suitable for sensitive skin.
More than 50% glycerin helps improve and retain moisture, while ectoin supports the lip barrier and long-term hydration. Black carrot juice gives the serum its pink-to-peach tone, which may vary naturally without affecting performance. In clinical testing on 22 people, using the serum three times a week for two weeks increased lip moisture levels by 30%.
